"Discover a pleasure of kayking"
This descent takes about one and half hour of paddling. But you can rent your boat for a longer time: just tell it at the moment of your departure in order to book your place in the retour shuttle. This is a most popular descent in Ardeche. There are five rapids. but this course is accessible even for beginners.

Distance: 7 Km
Time to paddle: about 1h30.
Recommended time: 2h30-3h.
Departure time: everyday from 8am to 4pm.
Difficulty : 5 rapids including The Charlemagne (classe III).
Start: Vallon Pont d'Arc
Finish: Châmes (just before an entrance in the Natural Reserve of Ardeche Canyon)

The regulatory
imperatives
Each participant must know how to swim; each participant must wear a lifejackets at all times.
Children ( under 18 y.o.) can not participate alone, they must be accompanied by an responsible adult.
Prohibition of rental with childen under 7 y.o. Interdiction de la location avec des enfants de moins de sept ans.
Warning : Canoe Kayak rent is prohibited if the water level is too high.
In case of prohibition of rent due to a water lever too iportant, you will be (accroding to your choice) either refunded or postponed to a date that suits you..
Notre avis
This is a perfect descent for a family. You pass through the Pont d'Arc, this is something not to be missed then you are in Ardeche.
Don't forget
Take shoes that are good for you feet and protect them, such as sneakers or water shoes (no flip-flops).
Wear an adequate and adapted to the weather clothers: cap, windbreaker, T-short, long shorts that effectiverly protects the thighs from sunburn.
Provide sufficient quantity of drinking water.
Discription
The mini-descent is an ideal choise for the beginners. There qre five rapids on this part of the river and the first rapids are quite easy. The most difficult one, The Charlemagne (III classe) is situated in the final part of this course, just before The Pont d'Arc. After The Charlemagne you pass through the Pont d'Arc where you can make a stop to observe this tresure of a nature. The final part of the descent is very quite and easy. During all the descent you can stop for picnic, bathing etc.: there are many cosy beaches along the river.
